Q1. Blood transfusion and what u will do when patient gets allergic reaction to blood

Ans.

If a patient has an allergic reaction to a blood transfusion, I would immediately stop the transfusion and administer appropriate medications.

  • Stop the transfusion immediately

  • Administer appropriate medications such as antihistamines, corticosteroids, and epinephrine

  • Monitor the patient's vital signs and symptoms closely

  • Notify the physician and blood bank

  • Document the reaction and treatment in the patient's medical record
