Product Management

What should I do?

I've been working as an Associate Product and Business Development Manager for 2 months now. Before that I was an intern in the same organisation However, I've come to realize that my role isn't entirely aligned with traditional product management responsibilities. Most of my tasks involve research and testing, with minimal involvement in product development or strategy. Despite the product launch approaching soon, I haven't had the opportunity to create a single Product Requirements Document (PRD). I'm torn between pursuing a certification to enhance my skills and waiting for a more substantial role. Has anyone faced a similar situation? What advice would you give? Should I: Invest in a certification to demonstrate my commitment to product management and enhance my skills? Wait for a more substantial role or a clearer product management path within my current company?

Invest in a certification if you’re serious about product management, it shows commitment and boosts your skills as well

I'll suggest you to discuss growth opportunities with your manager, don’t wait too long if the role stays unclear
