Today I learned that taking more pay is not always the correct move.

I got a 25% pay increase to come to FP and miss my old company. Working on interesting problems with smart people is way better than doing whatever the f is being done here.

I can understand your situation even I felt the same when I switch my job last year.I was working in a company for 8.5year then this switch made me feel the same as you left the position you was holding, the people which have become your friends and the power you hold in that position. But slowly in new company you get adapt and new friends make it possible to survive. BTW my old company culture have become very toxic post I left so it was a good decision I took.
