Should employees be the ones to suffer when a company makes strategic mistakes?🤔
BYJU'S, the Indian edtech giant, serves as a prime example.

Tbh, when decision are made, they should factor in the fact that how it will play out, and is it gonna benefit the org and employees or not. What BYJUS did was a pure bet, and wrong expectation, and things went south, and not according to their plan, the plan which didn't even had a false safe as well. Thus it led to the crash of the entire org, affecting everyone in the org. Every CEO or person in power of an org, be it big or small, while deciding a major step, should always consider every employee, let it be the higher ups or the office boy ( this is my ideology), and always have a false safe too.

[johnwick](username) Spot on! Considering the impact on all levels and having a backup plan is crucial for navigating uncertainty. BYJU's is a cautionary tale.🤷♀️🤷♀️

Absolutely not. Employees shouldn't bear the brunt of bad company decisions.
When company Makes Mistakes it leads to Aggressive expansion, financial strain and Employees Suffer (Layoffs, increased workload, stress).

Absolutely not! Ideally, the burden shouldn't fall solely on employees for company missteps. Open communication and strategic adjustments are key.

Definitely not ideal!
What do you think? What can companies do to protect employees when strategic mistakes happen?

[kaalakauwa](username) They should focus on long-term sustainability: Short-term gains shouldn't come at the expense of the workforce.

Employees do what they are meant to do for the company. It's up to the management to take care of the proper functioning of the company and to take care of the employees.
It is because of these incompetent management people that innocent employees have to suffer for their failures. Management should think about employees and their families.

[akkiboya](username) Spot on - employees deserve better than being collateral damage for bad management decisions.

Not at all! Employees have no control over the big decisions that executives make. They shouldn't be punished for something they had no say in.

Companies wouldn't exist without their employees. They put in the hard work, the ideas, the sweat and tears to make the company successful.

You know what.. It depends. Sometimes, short-term measures might be necessary, but ideally, companies should find ways to minimize the impact on employees. Long-term, strategic mistakes can have a domino effect, hurting everyone.
