Priya Ma’am, my boss, had lost faith in me. Friends said, "Bro, PIP se promotion tak koi nahi jaata." But I refused to go down.
My Survival Jugaad?
Chai Pe Charcha – Timed my tea breaks with hers. "Ma’am, elaichi daalni chahiye thi." Next day? She agreed. Trst unlocked.
In meetings, I nodded like a bobblehead. "Ma’am, truly visionary! Aap to corporate Rani Lakshmi Bai ho!" Smiles = Achieved..
Emotional Connect – She loved dogs. I updated my DP with one. "Ma’am, my dog wakes me up for meetings!" Bond = Secured.😉
The Final Jugaad – She looked stressed. "Ma’am, even Dhoni takes a break!" She smiled. Game over.
After a few months "Congrats on your Promotion!"
Moral? Hard work is good. Smart work is better. But jugaad? Boss, that’s the best!

Salary Discussions, Hike & Promotions

I have been working for 3 years 6 months (started in 2021) as a Data Analyst/BI Analyst with my techstack being SQL, Python and PBI. I have switched 2 companies and currently at my 3rd one from the last 1.7 years being paid 14.57 LPA.
I am switching because it's become stagnant here with no room for further growth (after many talks with my team lead etc.)
I am afraid of not being able to bag DS/DA roles because every other hiring post says that they require the whole world from a DA with 3+ years of experience. Idk how to prove my abilities with limited exposure so far and therefore, how much salary also to ask and negotiate for.
Please help!
