Salary target?
Hi current CTC 4
In next appraisal YOE will be 2 as data engineer, my skills are more than above avg compared to peers and salary are less than to them(others getting more because they hired from on campus)
Company generally giving 7 LPA for 2 yoe.
In last appraisal they done 4 lpa but generally giving 5 lpa this time they done less increment in name of recession
This time I think they will give 6 lpa
And I want more why should I get less
What do you think?
How should I get to 7?

7 LPA is reasonable in your case.

Switching the company can definitely get you the package you are targeting. But one thing you should always remember is to look past other people's compensation. There will always be someone making more than you doing less work than you and you'll feel why is he getting more than me. World is not fair. You need to find happiness in what you have. I am not saying settle for 4 but after you get 7 also you won't be happy with this mindset of they have more I have less
