Query: Domain Change Possibility at Capgemini – From Wireless to Software Engineering
Hello everybody! I've just been offered a Wireless position at Capgemini, while I initially aimed for a Software Engineering role. I'm excited regarding this opportunity to be joining Capgemini due to a good reputation for work culture and growth.
But I still need to decide whether the company allows domain changes once you are in, particularly Wireless to Software Engineering. Would anyone kind enough to share their experiences or insights regarding Capgemini's policies or flexibility regarding domain changes?

Yaar, Capgemini encourages skill development, and domain shifts happen if you’re proactive and perform well. After demonstrating their capabilities, I’ve seen people move from support roles to development.
Just keep showing interest in software engineering and keep learning.

I’ve worked with Capgemini for a while, and internal domain changes are possible, but they depend on the team and business needs. It’s a good idea to talk to your manager early about your aspirations, and start gaining the relevant skills while working in your current role.
