QA feels
1. Are QAs hired in the company as they are cheaper than devs and dev doing testing is a costly affair?
2. Are QAs less important to the company and are the first to get fired when cost-cutting or ramping down?
3. If you are capable, isn't it better to switch back-end dev or PO role than to remain QA to grow in your career?

Switching to back-end dev or PO can be a good option if you feel stuck, but if you're happy with QA and enjoy the work, there are plenty of ways to grow within that domain too, like learning test automation or transitioning into a lead QA role.

What’s your ultimate career goal? If you want more technical growth, backend development could be the way to go.
If you enjoy understanding the broader product vision, a PO role might be more fulfilling.

As a QA, you already understand the product from a quality and user-experience perspective, which is a great asset in other roles.
For example, a backend dev role requires a strong understanding of the product’s technical requirements, something a QA is already familiar with.
