Day to Day Office

My manager just got fired, and his last words to me were that I'm next.
He was let go due to a technicality he got sick, and they used it as an excuse. We were both in the same boat, struggling with attendance issues. I was working on getting my act together, but now... I don't know what to do.
He hinted that there's some shady stuff going on at the top, and that I'm a target. Should I panic and start job hunting? Or should I just keep my head down and hope for the best?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm feeling so lost and scared right now

Start looking for a job. Nothing says you have to take a job if it's offered to you, but it's a lot easier to find a job when you have a job.

Polish up the resume and prepare to go on the hunt again. Until then, do the best you can at your current job. You never know - you might get to ride this one out.

Either way, start the hunt. You might even get lucky and find a better job

Sounds like a horrible place to work. Find something better and fire them first.

Always trust that someone is being honest when they give you a head’s up about something big. When my colleague warned me melodiously, it came true later!

I love this man. Get on the hunt and thank him.
Until then tell no one you know anything and be super nice and productive.
He’s done you a solid, you might be able to change the outcome through hard work.

I wouldn't lend much credibility to the fired boss. But keeping your resume polished is always a good career move, particularly if you've demonstrated a lack of dependability.
You are interviewing for your own position right now. It would be an extraordinary good idea to verify who is asking you questions and who is making a decision!

Maybe he's demotivating u to decrease performance & be in panic. So that ull also be at his situation. Kind of wat he faced u should also face. Kind of his mindset for you .

A bit more background regarding the attendance issue will help.
