Micro Management disguised as Regular Updates!

We don’t check the driver's skills before booking a cab. We trust the cab provider. We don't check the ingredients of a body lotion before applying it to our skin. We trust the brand. We don’t check the hygiene of the kitchen while dining out. We trust the restaurant. Then why request for a weekly review with the team we've selected ourselves? Too much reviews break the workflow, waste the bandwidth and create trust issues within the team! Reviews are needed but only when required not on the basis of your insecurity!

Overly frequent reviews can indeed be counterproductive. I personally, believe trust is the foundation of any successful team. When team members feel trusted and respected, they are more likely to be motivated, engaged, and productive.

Regular updates is an issue, also looping the manager or lead in each mail chains. This shows they don't trust the employees and to keep things in control rather giving autonomy to deal with it
