LWP deductions
Can anyone please tell me how LWPs are deducted? Is it from gross salary before all the deductions or net salary after the deduction? My salary annexure explicitly states that my gross is fixed but still they have deducted from my gross 1 day LWP

LWP (Leave Without Pay) is typically deducted from your gross salary before other deductions, even if your gross salary is fixed.

LWP, or Leave Without Pay, is usually deducted from your gross salary before other deductions. This means it directly reduces your total earnings. Even if your gross salary is fixed, LWP can still affect your net pay. To make sure the deduction is correct, check your company's policy, review your salary slip, and if needed, talk to HR.

An Assistant Manager
Deductions are typically calculated from your gross salary before any other deductions. The amount deducted will directly impact your net salary, as it reduces the total amount available for other deductions and your final take-home pay.

This is a common practice, even if your salary is listed as fixed, because the LWP is considered an unpaid leave, and the deduction is made from your total earnings.
