Lie to HR to get more pay

We’ve all been there....HR asking for our previous salary slips. But what if someone inflates their actual CTC, say from X to 1.3X, to negotiate a better package? Not exactly ethical, but considering how HRs often use past salaries to lowball offers, is it really that unfair? What’s your take on this?

Inflating salary can backfire badly. Some companies verify salary with your bank statement or form 16. Better to negotiate based on market value & skills!

The best approach is knowing your worth and negotiating confidently. Lying can cost you credibility in the long run.

Companies don’t disclose their actual budget, so why should candidates be fully transparent? Fair or not?

Bhaii yeh toh thoda tricky hai..... I mean its tempting but HRs have a way of catching these things. Have you ever tried negotiating based on skillset instead?

Negotiation is a skill. Instead of tweaking numbers, work on pitching your impact and market demand to get what you deserve.

It’s unfair when HR uses old salaries to justify low offers. But lying can lead to trust issues or even offer revocation if caught

Many companies have stopped asking for past salary slips due to privacy concerns. The shift is happening, slowly but surely!

Not exactly ethical? It's outright lying and unprofessional. Negotiations can also be done the right way. Get an offer letter from some company and use that to negotiate further. Don't get into these tactics
