Job Experience and Salary Concern

I've been working as an Application Support Engineer for the past 2 years and 5 months. After completing my bond, I received a hike from ₹21,000 to ₹34,000, but I feel it’s still quite low compared to industry standards. Many of my peers with similar experience are earning ₹7-8 LPA, which makes me question my growth prospects. I enjoy learning and have been upskilling in front-end development through online courses, but I’m unsure about the best way to transition into a higher-paying role. Should I focus on switching companies, improving technical skills, or looking for certifications that add more value? Would appreciate any insights or guidance from experienced professionals!

I've been in your shoes. Application support can be a good starting point, but it's often not the highest paying. Switching to front-end development is a smart move if that's where your passion lies.

I was getting only 30K even after 3 years as a full-stack developer. When I asked for a salary hike, they fired me. Now I’ve been job hunting for the last 4 months. 😔
