Interview for the role of senior business process consultant

Update on the interview outcome- After a promising first-round interview for a senior consulting role at SAP, I was unexpectedly redirected to a different role with lower visibility and scope—without any clarity on why. What stood out was that the interview process was led entirely by individuals at the same job level as the position I applied for. This created a sense of gatekeeping, where peer-level interviewers seemed more focused on protecting territory than objectively assessing external talent. Disappointed by the lack of transparency and fairness, but grateful for the lessons. I’m now focused on opportunities where experience and growth are genuinely embraced.
