An Assistant Manager

Imagine if salaries were posted on the wall for everyone to see one day. 😳

"The middle manager makes HOW much??!? They don’t do ANYTHING!" How much chaos do you think would ensue? The entire dynamic of the workplace would change people might feel frustrated, shocked, or even betrayed. Transparency could spark healthy conversations about fairness or inequality, but it could also create tension, jealousy, and division. Would it motivate people to work harder, or would it just fuel resentment? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this!

Imagine the office chaos silent coffee breaks, awkward stares, and HR suddenly ‘unavailable’ for meetings. Popcorn, anyone?

Transparency could highlight unfair practices, but it might also ignore context like experience, negotiation skills, or role responsibilities. It’s a double-edged sword.

Let’s be real, everyone would spend the entire day gossiping and ‘recalculating’ their worth. Productivity? Out the window.

It could actually be empowering! If used right, salary transparency might push companies toward fairness and employees toward understanding their value better.

This is one of those ideas that’s great in theory but would probably make HR’s life an actual nightmare.
