I'm wondering if I'm earning a very low salary

Hi, My current in-hand salary is 25,000 per month. Additionally, my company provides me with three meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), accommodation, and transportation services. I'm wondering if I'm earning a very low salary considering the value of these additional benefits. For your consideration: I have nearly three years of experience in the FMCG sector. I'm seeking a better opportunity where I can present a CTC of 40,000 per month, as if I were not receiving any of the aforementioned benefits from my current company. Based on this, I'm aiming for a minimum 30% hike. Please advise if my current salary is indeed too low and if my approach to seeking a new opportunity is appropriate

Yeah, at first glance, ₹25,000 might seem a bit low. But when you factor in those free meals, accommodation, and transportation, it's not as bad as it initially looks. Those perks can really add up!

Aiming for a 30% hike is ambitious, but it's worth a shot! If you can really highlight your skills and experience, and show how you've added value to your current role, you might just land that big raise. Just remember, when you're evaluating new opportunities, it's not just about the salary. Consider the whole package, including benefits and work-life balance. Hope that helps :)

Yes you're being paid very very less salary, if you've a 3 year FMCG stint experience with you. A 3 year experience with FMCG sales (considering a good reputed co. like ITC) would pay you around 70-75K/month. Where even if you account your accomodation, travel + expenses would land you around 20-25K / month assuming your company provides for your lunch. So brother, corporates will pay you peanuts but INFLATION is not a peanut, it'll not eat into your salary by peanuts. Real inflation in India is around 15% what I have felt comparing post COVID prices to pre COVID. But your company would not give you a hike more than 10% pa (considering if you perform good).

25k +add 10000 for accomodation, food and transportation....if the company work culture is good then I think you are in a good situation... If you have spent more than 2 years, it is recommended to search for a new job.
