I don't know what's happening

I recently joined a startup as an Associate Product Manager, and I'm feeling a bit lost. The company only has two people - the CEO and me. My concerns: - Lack of communication: The CEO doesn't check in on the tasks he assigned me. - No clear direction: I'm unsure what's expected of me. - No support: There's no one else to turn to for guidance or feedback. - Payment concerns: The CEO hasn't asked for my account number for salary purposes. Here's why I'm really worried: - I left my previous job to join this startup, so I'm without a financial safety net. - I'm afraid that the CEO might suddenly tell me, "I don't want to do startup anymore; go home." - I'm unsure if I should start applying for new jobs or wait it out and hope things improve. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? How did you handle it? Should I be concerned about the startup's viability or is this just a case of a busy CEO? Looking forward to your advice and insights!

This sounds really concerning..../Have you tried setting up a weekly check-in with the CEO? Might help bring some clarity on your role!

Not asking for account details for salary sounds like a big red flag. Have you signed a formal offer letter with payment terms?

Startups can be chaotic, but this seems extreme! Are there any investors or advisors involved that you can reach out to for guidance?

Been in a similar situation...It’s tough, but set clear expectations with the CEO. If nothing improves, have a backup plan ready.

You left a stable job for this, so you deserve clarity! What was discussed about your role during hiring?

Startup join karne ke pehle bola tha ki ‘ownership milegi’... ab pata chala ‘company khud chalani padegi’...

I think you should apply to some other company and if you got selected then try to sit with your CEO or try to talk on call about your salary and other things don't tell him about the new offer if you don't get any satisfying answer then leave the company
