How to Access Orphan OST Files in Outlook2024?
An OST file in Outlook is an orphan when the file has been disconnected from the mailbox usually due to account deletion or server loss. The opening of an orphan OST file can be achieved using either the Import/Export Wizard, Auto Archive settings feature, or through using the WebbyAcad OST Converter by following these steps and their respective features. These approaches help the users to extract the OST file to PST so that individuals can get access to other emails and data that may be stored in the said OST file.

Choose Export to a file and select Outlook Data File (.pst).

I had to deal with an orphan OST file once, and the Import/Export wizard worked perfectly for me. It took a bit of time to go through all the emails, but eventually, I was able to move everything into a new PST file.

If you're dealing with a heavily corrupted OST file, I wouldn't rely on the built-in tools alone.
