How can I transition to a MAANG company with 2.6 years of Flutter experience while focusing on DSA?
I’ve been working as a Flutter developer for 2.6 years, and I’m currently preparing for FAANG interviews. To strengthen my chances, I’m focusing entirely on DSA and practicing consistently on LeetCode.
While I enjoy solving problems, I often feel stuck or unsure about the best path forward. Should I continue building expertise in Flutter, or would switching to Native Android development improve my chances of landing a MAANG role?
Also, how much does prior framework-specific experience matter during these interviews?
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been in a similar position or has insights to share on balancing skills and preparation.

It’s awesome that you're focusing on DSA!
Flutter is definitely in demand but when it comes to MAANG having strong problem solving skills is key

A Team Lead
I don’t think you need to switch to Native Android. The framework-specific experience may not matter as much for MAANG interviews unless the role is specifically for mobile development.
Your problem-solving skills and coding ability will be the key.

For interviews, concentrate on DSA and maintain your proficiency with Flutter; it is useful. Unless you have a strong desire to do so, switching to native is not required. For MAANG jobs, problem-solving abilities are more important than experience related to a framework. Keep practicing!
