Hi everyone,
I’m looking to switch my career and would appreciate some advice on how to move forward. Here’s a bit about my situation:
I worked as an electrical technician from 2016 to 2020 but decided to quit and take a break. I’ve been unemployed for over 4 years.
In 2017, I enrolled in college to work toward my bachelors in electrical engineering, which took me six years to complete (graduated in 2023) because of backlogs. My CGPA is 5.6 out of 10.
In 2024, I decided to switch careers and took up a full-stack Java developer certification course (6 month course plus a 3 month unpaid internship from the same institute). I’m now feeling uncertain about how to approach the job market, especially with a career gap, my academic performance and age.

Given my background do you think anyone will hire me as a fresher in the tech industry?

Passout 2018 as Electrical Engineer.
July 2018 - Jan 2021 Prepared for Govt jobs.
Jan 2021- Mar 2024, small size company, 3.2 yoe as Data analyst. EXCEL Nly.
April 2024 - July 2024, internship,Sales Associate. Excel, powerbi, sql.
August 2024 - Jan 2025, Acquired Skills for Business Analyst got Certified from Microsoft-LinkedIn Program, Applied for various positions in those 6 months but no response.
1 Feb 2025 - till now working as purchase manager in small electrical company. Price analysis, negotiations, Excel, and cost savings.
My Skills: Sql, Python, Advance Excel, Jira, UML, BRD.
I did not want to waste my time further. That's why I joined this company as this job requires analysis.
I want a job where pay, timings, and perks are stable. 
advice me where to go.
What position and which industry should I go for? Do I need to do any certifications. And what should be my salary expectations.
How can I use my data analyst experience in the field of purchase.

past 7-8 months trying hard to get placed. gave 7 interviews. 3 cleared fully(even got congratulations mail) . Sadly In that 2 are not responding even mc HR not picking call or msg. 1 offer left is non-tech Business Development Associate at a startup in Noida.
- 6 montths internship - 15k + variable ~15k
- ppo with 6-9 LPA 
- joining next month(march)
what should i do? Should i wait for another chances in tech or move on with this offer and try while working with the startup.

If i wait another 2-3 months i will be competing with 2025 passouts.

my skills-Java, Springboot-hibernate, APIs, Angular(basic), Azure-DevOps, K8s, Docker, Prom-Grafana stack.

Salary Discussions, Hike & Promotions

I am java backend dev and my current tech stack is Java, spring boot, microservices, restful APIs, mysql, dsa(400+ problems in leetcode) Have knowledge in kafka as well but no hands on experience.

My current CTC is 7Lpa

No frontend or cloud experience. I got the above offer(hyd location,hybrid model). I have already resigned in my company, attended few interviews but failed in all. Should I prepare more rigorously? Or be satisfied it's a good package for my current exp?
