Considering a Career Switch from Mechanical Engineering to IT – Need Advice
I am a mechanical engineer with 4 years of experience in product design using CAD tools. However, I feel that my technical knowledge is lacking, and I often struggle to clear the technical rounds in interviews. Despite my experience, my current salary is quite low (around 3-4 LPA), which is comparable to what freshers in the IT industry are earning.
Considering this, I am thinking about switching to the IT industry for better opportunities and growth.
I would appreciate your opinions and advice on whether transitioning to IT is a good idea, and if so, what steps I should take to make this change successfully.

Bro, Your CAD experience could help transition to tech roles like 3D modeling or AR/VR development.
Look for fields that align with your background and build on what you already know.

How to Deal with a Chatty Colleague?
Okay, so I have this colleague sitting right in front of me, and he doesn’t stop talking all day. I’ve tried putting on headphones, but this guy still waves his hands in front of my face like, “Oye Oye, ek baat sun !” Leaving my desk isn’t an option because my work would suffer, and there’s no extra space in the office to relocate. How do I politely deal with this without causing awkwardness or making it seem like I’m being rude?

And hcltech, being the company it is, is having 90 days notice period, negotiable to 60 days only.Initial negotiation with my current manager and the new company hr didn't go over that well, I am in a bind now.Any suggestions?

During this period, I have not received any promotions or salary hikes, which has made me question whether I should wait for growth within the company or explore external opportunities.I am hopeful of getting a promotion in June this year, but I am unsure if it’s worth waiting for. Here’s what I am considering:1. Stay and wait for the promotion: There’s a...
