Career planning

I currently work in the Middle East and hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Engineering from a reputable state university. With 7 years of experience, I am presently employed as a technical expert. While the salary is good, job stability is uncertain due to the impact of AI-driven changes. My dilemma is whether pursuing an MBA from a top-tier institution like INSEAD or LBS is worth the ₹1.5 crore investment for a one-year program. 1. Is the post-MBA life from such institutions truly rewarding? 2. I aspire to work as a consultant for a top consulting firm. Is an MBA the only pathway, or are there alternative routes to break into consulting? Would appreciate insights from those with experience in this journey!

I know a few people who’ve done INSEAD and loved it.... made solid connections and found rewarding jobs but yaar you can also break into consulting through direct experience and networking. Have you tried reaching out to consultants directly for insights?
