1 year experience with SQL and advanced excel skill working as analyst

I have one year of experience as an analyst, specializing in SQL and advanced Excel. Currently, I'm earning 3 LPA, but my job is quite demanding—I often work 9.5 hours a day, including weekends, and have a daily commute of 3 to 4 hours. Given these factors, I'm considering changing jobs and wanted to ask for suggestions on what salary range I might expect. Any advice on how to approach this transition would be appreciated!

Hmm, With one year of experience and your skillset, you could aim for a salary of 4-5 LPA.

Bhai, workload aur commute kaafi zyada ho gaya hai, toh job switch ka sochna sahi decision lag raha hai. Aapke paas SQL aur advanced Excel ka 1 saal ka experience hai, jo analytics roles mein valuable hota hai.

Try and look out for roles and referrals if possibles for budding startups and unicorns. They pay good as per your skills.

Putting in extra hours at the start of your career is quite common these days. Since you specialize in SQL and advanced Excel, look for better opportunities that offer salaries up to 6 lakh per annum.

At your experience level, I would say if your are getting the opportunity to learn a lot in your current organization then don't switch. In the initial years gaining knowledge is more crucial than money. The things that you will learn today will help you build a long lasting career, money will come only if you have knowledge. SQL is a very in-demand skill set and I assure you that you have a lot to learn even if you think you have mastered it. My suggestion of the learning opportunities are good l, stick for 2 more years, work overtime to gain more skills and then you would easily get offers for 10+ LPA.
