- Australian start-up, Harrison.ai, has secured $112m in Series C funding to expand its AI diagnostic services in the US, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
- Aware Super, ECP Asset Management and Horizons Ventures co-led the funding which will also be used to increase Harrison.ai’s offering to the pathology sector and invest in AI automation across other diagnostic sectors.
- Harrison.ai was launched in Sydney in 2018 and co-founded by brothers Dr. Aengus Tran and Dimitry Tran.
- The firm has enhanced its offerings since its Series B funding round ($92.3m in 2018), with the pathology solution, Franklin.ai, established and planned development of its Prostate Biopsy product, set for a 2025 launch.
- Harrison.ai operates in 15 countries and has regulatory clearance for clinical use in 40 countries, including 12 FDA clearances.
- It wants to help address the global shortage of skilled clinicians in order to increase healthcare capacity through AI automation.
- Harrison.ai has created tools to help clinicians diagnose medical conditions more accurately and efficiently through its diagnostic software, including radiology-focused product Annalise.ai.
- Precision diagnostics can reduce wait times, aid early detection of conditions and improve efficiency of workflow while reducing the risk of misdiagnosis, according to Harrison.ai's co-founder and CEO, Aengus Tran.
- Since 2022, Harrison.ai has tripled contracted annual recurring revenue every year for the past three consecutive years for the Annalise.ai product.
