- Google, Salesforce, H&M and other brands are investing $80 million in carbon capture technologies.
- They are paying $32.1 million to CREW, a startup that aims to trap carbon dioxide emissions at wastewater treatment facilities.
- Another $48 million will go to CO280, a startup that retrofits pulp and paper mills with carbon capture technologies.
- This investment is part of an initiative called Frontier, led by Stripe, Google, Shopify, and McKinsey Sustainability.
