IT Minister Reveals Rs. 1 Million Annual Salary for PTCL Board Officers
- Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has informed the Senate that government personnel serving as members of the Board of Directors are entitled to a maximum yearly pay of Rs. 1 million.
- The salary cap is set by the Finance Division and any payments exceeding PKR 1 million must be deposited into the government's bank account.
- The board composition of PTCL is governed by a shareholder agreement between the Pakistani government and Etisalat International Pakistan.
- There are nine directors on the board, with five proposed by Etisalat and four appointed by the federal government.

NTRA Officially Debutes in eSIM services in Egypt
- The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has officially rolled out eSIM embedded chip technology across Egypt. The service offers enhanced convenience, security, and efficiency in the telecommunications sector.
- Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt, Etisalat Misr, and Telecom Egypt are the four mobile operators participating in the eSIM rollout. They have successfully tested the technology and now offer eSIM services to their customers.
- eSIM technology allows users to switch between mobile carriers without replacing their physical SIM cards. It offers flexibility, seamless service continuity, and protection against theft and misuse.
- The NTRA's initiative aligns with Law No. 10 of 2003 and aims to meet the growing needs of Egypt's digital economy. A comprehensive guide on how to use the eSIM in Egypt has been issued by the NTRA.
