Data Engineer I - Scala/Spark (1-3 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team at Purplle.com in Mumbai. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining our data architecture to ensure efficient data processing and analysis.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Implement data processing solutions using Spark/Apache beam for large-scale data processing and analysis.

- Utilize Scala and Java programming languages to write efficient and maintainable code for data engineering tasks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 1-3 years of experience as a data engineer in developing batch / real-time applications.

- Experience with SQL and any OLTP/OLAP-based database is preferred.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred.

- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Scala / Java is preferred).

- Knowledge of data modeling, database design, data warehousing, and distributed computing concepts.

- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively.

- Familiarity with real-time data processing technologies / BI tools is good to have
