What are you Going to do
Conducthigh-quality research that aligns with academic standards but operates at an accelerated pace to address urgent, practical design and detailing challenges
Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and strategically plan research topics aligned with project goals.
Develop robust research methodologies to tackle challenges in modular construction and structural performance.
Perform numerical simulations to analyze and predict structural behaviors and phenomena.
Plan and coordinate experimental campaigns to validate numerical models and theoretical findings.
Evaluate the code compliance of structural components and systems with relevant standards.
Draft and present technical reports and prepare research articles based on findings, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Perform detailed analyses of numerical simulation results and experimental observations to derive actionable insights.
Adapt research activities to provide practical, product-focused solutions to design and detailing questions outside conventional approaches.
Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to deliver higher-level performance-based designs of new components, tailored to meet performance requirements in diverse seismic environments.
Actively engage and communicate in a professional and collaborative research environment involving top scholars in structural and earthquake engineering.
Leverage opportunities to learn from leading researchers and expand your professional network within the field.
Collaborate with international teams, accommodating varying time zones for effective communication and coordination.
What are we Looking for
Ph.D. or Master s degree in civil engineering / structural engineering from an Institution of repute and / or proven track records.
2 - 5 years of research experience (including PhD) or industry experience in structural engineering, earthquake engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have:
A strong academic and professional background in structural/earthquake engineering.
Proven ability to draft high-quality technical reports and research articles.
Demonstrated experience in numerical modeling and simulation, particularly finite element analysis.
Familiarity with reinforced concrete structural systems is highly desirable.
Hands-on experience with finite element modeling software (e.g., ABAQUS, DIANA, or similar) is a bonus.
Ability to design and execute research experiments and analyze complex data sets.
Strong knowledge of engineering codes and standards for structural systems.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility and adaptability to collaborate effectively across different time zones.
