Senior Manager - Accounts

Role & responsibilities

1. Accounting Oversight:

• Supervise daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Maintain proper reconciliation of accounts and ensure internal controls are in place to prevent errors or fraud.

2. MIS Data Management:

• Oversee the collection, storage, and processing of financial data to generate useful reports for decision-making.
• Manage data integration across various departments to ensure a unified approach to reporting and analysis.
• Ensure that MIS systems and software are functioning effectively to support the companys accounting needs.

3. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and budget reports.
• Leverage MIS systems to generate automated financial reports, reducing manual data entry and enhancing accuracy.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights into the companys financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.

4. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with different departments to prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Use MIS tools to track budget performance against actual results and provide insights to management on variances.
• Conduct financial forecasting and trend analysis to help guide business strategy and decisions.

5. MIS System Development and Maintenance:

• Evaluate, implement, and maintain management information systems (such as ERP or other financial systems) to ensure the availability of accurate and timely data.
• Work with IT teams to ensure that the MIS systems are updated, optimized, and secure.
• Troubleshoot issues with MIS systems to ensure smooth functioning and minimal disruptions.

6. Process Improvement and Automation:

• Identify areas within accounting and reporting processes that can be improved or automated using MIS tools.
• Implement changes to streamline accounting and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
• Work with relevant teams to develop and optimize workflows and dashboards for management.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA (CA Inter), a minimum of 7+ years of experience.
• For a fully qualified CA candidate, 2+ years of experience.
