Zeus Learning - Senior User Experience Designer - Figma/Sketch (3-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior User Experience Designer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Education Technology products.

You will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and effective user experiences that empower learners and educators.

This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the UX design process : From user research and ideation to prototyping and testing, you will own the UX design process for new and existing features, ensuring a user-centered approach at every stage.

- Understand user needs : Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain deep insights into the needs, behaviors, and motivations of our target audience (learners, educators, administrators).

- Translate requirements into designs : Effectively translate complex business and technical requirements into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

- Develop design artifacts : Create a range of design deliverables, including user flows, information architecture diagrams, wireframes, prototypes (low and high fidelity), and design specifications.

- Collaborate cross-functionally : Work closely with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and other designers to ensure alignment on project goals, design direction, and technical feasibility.

- Advocate for the user : Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the needs of our users throughout the product development lifecycle.

- Iterate and improve : Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and technical constraints.

- Conduct A/B testing and other methods to optimize the user experience.

- Maintain design consistency : Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all our products.

- Stay up-to-date : Keep abreast of the latest UX trends, technologies, and best practices, particularly within the EdTech domain.

- Mentor and guide : Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and supportive design team environment.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred.

Experience : 3+ years of experience in User Experience Design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills and experience in designing user-centered solutions. Experience in the E-Learning domain is highly desirable.

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in design and prototyping tools : Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

- Experience with user research tools : UserTesting.com, Hotjar, or similar.

- Understanding of front-end development technologies : HTML, CSS, JavaScript (a plus).

- Experience with data analysis tools: Google Analytics or similar (a plus). This helps in understanding user behavior and measuring the effectiveness of designs.

Soft Skills :

- Ability to clearly articulate design rationale and present designs to stakeholders at all levels.

- Ability to identify design problems, analyze user data, and develop effective solutions.

- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

- Ability to ensure design consistency and pixel-perfect execution.
