Job Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on City NSO (New Store Openings) Manager to lead and coordinate
the setup of new stores within a designated city. As a City NSO Manager, you will manage a
dedicated pod of six team members, ensuring each new store meets all operational and setup
requirements before it is handed over to the Operations team. This role demands a proactive
individual with strong project management skills to keep each site on schedule, address issues
as they arise, and ensure a smooth transition for store openings.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Coordination and Supervision:
● Lead a city-based pod of six NSO team members, ensuring they are equipped
and aligned with store opening tasks.
● Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and guide the team to complete store
setups on time and to standard.
● Site Monitoring and Progress Tracking:
● Visit each store site daily, overseeing the construction and setup process.
● Track and report on work progress, identifying any bottlenecks and escalating
issues as needed.
Snag Resolution and Quality Control:
Identify and address any construction-related issues or snags during the setup
phase, ensuring all fixes are completed efficiently.
● Conduct quality checks to ensure each store aligns with brand standards and
readiness requirements.
Checklist Compliance:
● Ensure all mandatory setup items, including WiFi, CCTV, security systems, and
other operational needs, are in place.
● Verify that each store complies with the company’s checklist standards before
handover.
Kitchen Layout and Equipment Setup:
● Oversee the installation and setup of kitchen layouts, ensuring they match the
design blueprints.
● Coordinate with contractors and technicians to install and test kitchen equipment,
confirming it is operational.
Asset and Stock Management:
● Organize and oversee the delivery and arrangement of smaller assets and
supplies at each store.
● Coordinate stock connections and other final preparations to ready the store for
operation.
Store Handover Preparation:
● Conduct a final inspection to confirm each setup meets company standards and
all required assets are in place.
● Prepare the site for handover to the Operations team, ensuring a smooth and
efficient transition.
Requirements:
● Strong experience in retail operations, project management, or a related field, ideally
with new store openings or rollouts.
● Proven leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a small team in a
fast-paced environment.
● Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying and resolving construction or
setup-related issues.
● Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control, ensuring stores meet all setup
requirements before handover.
● Familiarity with retail or kitchen equipment installation and site setup processes is an
advantage.
● Willingness to travel across locations within the city to manage multiple site setups.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience in multi-site project coordination, particularly within retail or food and
beverage sectors.
Knowledge of retail setup standards, including operational checklists, equipment setup,
and store layout requirements.
● Effective communication skills to coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal
teams.
