The Electrical C License Holder is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within a power generation unit ranging from 10MW to 50MW. This role ensures that all electrical systems function efficiently and safely, adhering to all regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Operation and Maintenance:
Operate and maintain electrical equipment and systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
Conduct regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor power generation systems to ensure they are operating within specified parameters and take corrective actions when necessary.
2.Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Perform corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components, including troubleshooting issues with wiring, circuits, and control systems.
Coordinate with other technicians and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.
3.Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Implement and follow safety procedures to protect personnel and equipment.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
4.Technical Support:
Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members.
Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and maintenance schedules.
5.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of electrical system performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents.
Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance work, and operational issues.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking and documentation.
6.Emergency Response:
Respond to emergency situations involving electrical systems and equipment.
Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
7.Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in industrial environments, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of electrical power generation equipment.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
