Job Title - Record to Report Accountant (Intercompany)
The Role
Come join our Finance Centre of Excellence (CENX) in Mumbai. The Finance Team already has an established CENX at Mumbai.
An Intercompany accountant will do a critical role in managing and reconciling financial transactions between different entities within a corporate group. These entities might be subsidiaries, branches, or other related companies under the same parent company. This person will report Sr. Manager however this role will work very closely with Sr Accountant.
What will I be delivering
Reconcile intercompany accounts regularly to ensure that balances between entities matches.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in intercompany balances.
Manage intercompany transactions involving multiple currencies, including handling foreign exchange gains and losses.
Assist in managing intercompany cash settlements and netting arrangements.
Maintain proper documentation for intercompany transactions, adhering to internal policies and legal requirements.
Prepare intercompany reconciliations for month-end and year-end closing, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and post journal entries related to intercompany transactions as per policy.
Identify inefficiencies in intercompany accounting processes and propose improvements.
Collaborate with finance and other departments to improve the accuracy and efficiency of intercompany transactions.
Provide detailed schedules, explanations, and supporting documents related to intercompany transactions and reconciliations to internal and external auditors.
Assist with any queries or issues raised during audits related to intercompany activity.
To guarantee uniformity in the documentation of intercompany transactions, collaborate with regional accountants, financial controllers, and other team members from various organizations.

What do I need to bring with me
Demonstrated knowledge and experience
5 or more years of experience in the accounting domain
It is preferred to have knowledge of the Global Intercompany process.
Experience of using NetSuite and Blackline preferred
Attention to detail to ensure accounting entries are correct
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong service orientation/responsiveness
Outstanding proficiency with Excel
IFRS experience preferred
Experience of process improvement
Technical know-how and qualifications
Bachelor s degree in accounting or related disciplines
Inter CA or CMA is nice to have.
Behavioral competencies

Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines/SLAs, ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a high degree of tenacity and resilience
Keen to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
