Backend Engineer - Java/Spring Boot (7-10 yrs)

Title : Backend Engineer - IBPFA

Job Description :

- Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs to support business requirements.

- Create RESTful or GraphQL APIs for seamless frontend-backend communication.

Database Management :

- Design and optimize database schemas and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval.

- Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

Performance Optimization :

- Optimize application performance for scalability and reliability.

- Implement caching strategies using tools like Redis or Memcached.

Integration :

- Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Integrate third-party APIs, services, and tools as required.

Security

- Implement and maintain security protocols, including data encryption and user authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).

DevOps and Deployment :

- Manage and deploy applications using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Monitor server health and troubleshoot production issues as needed.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and frontend engineers, to deliver high-quality software.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Required Skills :

- 7+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer with a focus on API work

- 4+ years of experience with SpringBoot and Java

- 2+ years of experience GraphQL or NoSQL

- 2+ years of experience with Azure

- Hands-on experience dealing and implementing with different types of API models (REST, SOAP, gRPC, etc) and their pros and cons

- Knowledgeable in the best practices in API contract testing and management
