The Deputy Manager Contracts will assist in managing all contractual aspects of projects, focusing on claims verification and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
This role is essential in supporting the contract management team to mitigate risks and uphold the companys interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:.
Assist in the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts, ensuring alignment with project goals and company policies.
Conduct thorough verification of claims submitted by subcontractors and vendors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
Collaborate with project managers to identify potential claims and support them in the assessment and resolution processes.
Maintain accurate records of contract documents, correspondence, and claims for reporting and audit purposes.
Provide support in dispute resolution and negotiate settlements as necessary to protect the companys interests.
Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying any issues and proposing solutions to management.
Prepare and present regular reports on claims status and contract management activities to senior management.
Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and legal regulations related to contract management and claims verification.
Requirements.
Qualifications:.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Law, or a related field; relevant certifications (e g, CMRP, CPM) are a plus.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in contract management within the EPC industry, with a focus on claims verification.
Strong understanding of contractual terms, conditions, and legal implications.
Proven ability to analyze and verify claims effectively.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Proficient in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
