The Role
- Maintain indirect tax compliance calendar in OneSource by ensuring all returns are filed timely by Ryan Compliance Tax Services LLC for Worley and ECR or filed internally for US and Canada.
- Assist by gathering annual business licenses gross sales revenues to provide to Legal to file annual business license renewals and returns. Then file annual reconciliation where applicable (MI and WA) to ensure company is in full compliance with all relevant tax laws.
- Assist Sales and Use Tax Sr. Manager with reviewing weekly/monthly suspended transactions in PinPoint by providing copies of invoices, review, and analyze if previous taxability for the same vendors and coding are comprehensive of business operation to proceed with processing.
- Assist Sales and Use Tax Sr. Manager and Tax Director with creating, maintain and update taxes rules within PinPoint and transaction tax calculation systems (monthly, quarterly, and annually). I.e. Evaluate if taxability and tax rules in PinPoint align with business operation and assist with true-up allocation evaluation. May need to be responsible in communication such as follow up with Finance Director, SCMs, and necessary parties for project completion.
- Compile and maintain ship to/delivery information table for PinPoint by gathering paper copy of issued POs.
- Provide sales and use tax rates from RatePoint when necessary/as requested.
- Assist Sales and Use Tax Sr. Manager and Tax Counsel and perform in-depth tax research using sources such as TTR, state and local tax Statutes, Regulations, Code/Administrative Authority and reputable tax research organizations or websites.
- Assist in gathering information for Sales and Use Tax Sr. Manager or Tax Counsel to respond to all state and local notices, assessments and inquiries. Communication with external and internal parties to complete inquiries.
- Collect active and/or historical project customers exemption certificate, follow-up, and track in ControlPoint as well for current sales and use tax audits, Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (VDAs)/Managed Audits.
- Assist with validating resale/exemption certificates from customer in ControlPoint and close out inquiry via ticketing system like ServiceNow or email inbox.
- Assist Sales and Use Tax Sr. Manager and Tax Counsel in preparing resale/exemption certificates to vendors when applicable in ControlPoint and inform them of completion for signature and closing out ticketing system like ServiceNow or email inbox.
- Assisted/Support with sales & use tax audits inquiries such as data gathering (pulling GL, details, invoices, and POs) as well as development. Assist in putting requested information in binder format to send out to auditor.
- Assist with running queries and reports in GBS, BR, and available reports as needed/project as necessary. May consist of compiling and validating project information across GBS, Sales Force, and reporting modules for sales use tax audits, Voluntary Disclosure Agreements (VDAs)/Managed Audits. Notify Project Finance and Project Accountants of discrepancies for proper reporting.
- Review, analyze, and prepare sales and use account reconciliations for Worley and ECR. Evaluate for unreconciled balances/items and assist with resolution by working with necessary parties to reclass/resolve issues.
- Assist in compiling ACH payment request to Ryan Compliance Tax Services LLC and internal stakeholders to fund for sales and use tax returns payment. After notification that payments have been requested, refer to compliance calendar for ECR and Worley to verify via Oracle to ensure payments were funded on time/correctly before 15th of every month. If not paid yet, send follow up to AP.
- Assist in compiling ACH payment to pay Ryan for their Compliance Tax Services/ consulting invoices and other payments. After notification of implementation/consulting invoices have been requested, verify via Oracle to ensure payments were funded on time/correctly. If not yet paid, send follow up to AP.
- After Ryan Compliance Tax Services LLC complete return filings, save returns in applicable folder in Tax network by extracting returns and support.
- Assist as needed basis.
As a Tax Advisorr with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc .

About You
Experience with Oracle
