Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled 5G Network Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of 5G networks. As a 5G Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in deploying, maintaining, and enhancing the next generation of mobile communication networks, ensuring they are capable of meeting the growing demands for data and connectivity. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the evolving telecommunications landscape and who are eager to work on cutting-edge technologies in the 5G domain.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Network Design & Architecture:

Design and implement 5G network architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for future upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions for 5G deployment, including radio access network (RAN) and core network.

Installation & Configuration:

Oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of 5G equipment, such as base stations, routers, switches, and core network elements.
Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery and proper setup of 5G infrastructure.

Network Optimization & Performance Tuning:

Continuously monitor and optimize the 5G network performance by adjusting network parameters and resolving issues.
Perform network optimization tasks, including traffic management, load balancing, and interference mitigation.

Testing & Troubleshooting:

Conduct extensive testing of 5G network components, including functional, stress, and interoperability testing.
Troubleshoot network issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure seamless service delivery.

Collaboration & Documentation:

Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to align network features with business requirements.
Prepare comprehensive documentation for network configurations, test results, and procedures for ongoing maintenance.

Security Implementation:

Implement security measures to protect the 5G network from potential threats, ensuring data privacy, integrity, and availability.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, ensuring that the network meets all compliance standards.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Strong Understanding of 5G Technologies:

Deep knowledge of 5G NR (New Radio), LTE, and 4G technologies, and how they integrate with 5G networks.
Expertise in network protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, and VoLTE (Voice over LTE) for 5G implementation.

Hands-On Experience with Networking Equipment:

Experience with deploying and configuring 5G equipment, including base stations, antennas, routers, and switches.
Familiarity with vendor-specific 5G equipment such as Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, or similar.

Network Performance & Troubleshooting:

Proficient in using network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, NetFlow, and NMS (Network Management System) platforms.
Strong troubleshooting skills to address network faults and performance bottlenecks.

Cloud and Virtualization Technologies:

Experience with cloud-based network architectures and virtualization technologies like NFV (Network Function Virtualization) and SDN (Software-Defined Networking).

Security Expertise:

Knowledge of network security protocols and techniques to ensure the security of the 5G network.

Communication & Team Collaboration:

Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Qualification & Experience Required

Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in telecom or network engineering, with a focus on 4G/5G networks.
- Prior experience working with 5G network deployment and management is highly preferred.
Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
- Certifications in telecom networking (e. g. , CCNA, CCNP, or specialized 5G certification) are a plus.
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies, network security, or virtualization will be considered beneficial.
