Job Summary

The Cloud Traffic Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing traffic flow across cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of applications and services. This role involves designing and implementing traffic management strategies, configuring load balancers, and ensuring robust failover mechanisms to meet business objectives. The Cloud Traffic Manager collaborates closely with DevOps, network, and application teams to maintain an efficient and secure cloud environment.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud traffic management strategies to optimize application performance and reliability.

Configure, monitor, and manage load balancers, DNS traffic management, and failover mechanisms.

Analyze traffic patterns and performance metrics to identify areas of improvement and recommend optimization solutions.

Ensure the availability of redundant and scalable infrastructure to handle fluctuating workloads.

Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless integration of traffic management tools with cloud platforms.

Troubleshoot traffic routing and connectivity issues in real-time to minimize downtime.

Develop and maintain automation scripts for deploying and configuring traffic management tools.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in cloud technologies, traffic management protocols, and best practices.

Document workflows, configurations, and processes to support knowledge sharing and compliance requirements.

Conduct regular performance reviews and capacity planning for cloud environments.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Traffic Management Tools: Proficiency in tools like Azure Traffic Manager, AWS Route 53, or Google Cloud Traffic Director.

Load Balancers: Expertise in configuring and managing load balancers such as AWS Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), NGINX, or HAProxy.

Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, and CDN technologies.

Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch to track traffic performance and detect anomalies.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex traffic management challenges.

Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualification & Experience Required

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in cloud traffic management, networking, or a related domain.

Certification in cloud platforms (e. g. , AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator) is highly desirable.

Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale cloud deployments with a focus on traffic optimization and redundancy.

Proven track record of implementing automated solutions for traffic management and monitoring.
