Job Description
As a Database Administrator at WN Infotech, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the company's databases. - Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure their performance, reliability, and security.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise, such as performance bottlenecks or database errors.
- Plan and implement database upgrades, patches, and migrations as required.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing access controls, encryption, and regular data backups.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as software developers and system administrators, to integrate database systems with other applications and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including database schemas, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of database concepts, including database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with database administration tasks such as installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of database security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and data masking.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or a similar role.
- Experience with database administration tools and utilities.
- Certification in database administration (e. g. , Oracle Certified Professional) is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud database services such as Amazon RDS or Azure SQL Database is a plus.
