Job Description

Job Summary

As a Release Engineer at Web Neural Infotech, you will manage and optimize the software release process, ensuring smooth deployments and efficient workflows. Your responsibilities will include designing release strategies, maintaining build and deployment pipelines, and collaborating with teams to ensure successful software delivery. You will play a crucial role in supporting AI, ML, and Big Data-driven applications by implementing best practices for version control, testing, and deployment.

This position is open to freshers with a strong interest in release management and experienced professionals passionate about streamlining software delivery processes.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Release Management : Plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases to ensure timely delivery with minimal disruptions.

Deployment Pipelines : Design, implement, and maintain deployment pipelines for cloud and on-premise environments.

Version Control : Manage and optimize source control repositories, including branching and merging strategies, using Git or similar tools.

Automation : Automate build, testing, and deployment processes using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.

Build Optimization : Ensure builds are stable and efficient by resolving dependency conflicts and optimizing configurations.

Collaboration : Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to align release workflows with project requirements.

Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation for release plans, deployment processes, and rollback strategies.

Monitoring and Feedback : Implement monitoring systems to track release performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Incident Management : Troubleshoot and resolve issues during releases to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth user experience.

Security Compliance : Ensure all release processes follow security and compliance standards.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Release Tools : Proficiency in tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps for managing builds and releases.

Version Control : Strong knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, or similar version control systems.

Scripting and Automation : Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating deployment workflows.

Cloud Platforms : Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for managing cloud-based releases.

Build Tools : Familiarity with Maven, Gradle, or Ant for build management.

Testing Integration : Knowledge of integrating automated testing frameworks like Selenium or JUnit into release workflows.

Monitoring : Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana for release performance tracking.

Problem-Solving Skills : Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities for release-related issues.

Qualification & Experience Required

Education : Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Certifications (Preferred) :
- Certifications such as Certified Jenkins Engineer , AWS Certified DevOps Engineer , or similar are a plus.
Experience :
- Freshers with strong foundational knowledge in release management and hands-on projects are encouraged to apply.
- 1-3 years of experience in release engineering or related roles is preferred.
