Pricing Specialist

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for negotiating with MLOs/NVOCCs to ensure that we have in market rates.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating tariffs for major trade lanes.
• Liaise with Shipping Lines, Overseas Counterparts & Other Brokers to ensure competitive pricing is sourced and fed in the system.
• Maintain and develop excellent vendor relationship with an objective of most competitive pricing available.
• Monitor and report key performance parameters to ensure the department is running as efficiently as possible.
• Carryout MBR/QBRs for critical customers
• Work with commercial team on improving processes, procedures to heighten productivity, timeliness and quality.
• Ensure effective communication with commercial teams on any opportunities, challenges and alternative options for improved pricing strategies.
• Ensure RFQ’s are attended and bid on time

Preferred candidate profile

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Should have demonstrated the ability to handle pricing for large volumes
• Excellent relationship with vendors
• Technology savvy with digital mindset
• Good communication skills
