Sr. Technical Program Manager

Job Description Summary The incumbent will direct a cross-functional development team to deliver new products and solutions to GE Healthcare customers. Ensures programs are delivered on time, within scope and budget and with desired quality. The position drives clarity across engineering, regulatory, supply chain, marketing, service and sales functions by defining and prioritizing the program objectives, critical success factors and deliverables for the team. Additionally, the Program Manager motivates the team and drives a sense of urgency on meeting program commitments.

The Advanced Visualization Solutions (AVS) business consists of 4 subsegments Comprehensive Care ULS, Women s Health ULS, Surgical Innovation and Cardiovascular and Interventional Solutions. In addition, AVS Digital serves an operating function to develop complete suite of digital solutions for all 4 subsegments. As customers needs for more and consistent digital solutions continue to grow, the market for Digital solutions advances.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day execution of single program or coordinate execution across multiple interdependent programs by working directly with global teams; managing risks, scope changes, and tracking outcomes. Drives execution of tollgate process for NPI, requisition, or sustaining programs. Influences the programs to meet customer CTQs.
• Lead cross-functional execution including (but not limited to) proof of concept projects, program execution, platform release, clinical and pilot trials, product delivery, operational improvement, and install base support projects
• Work with the business segments, enterprise partners, and 3rd party partners to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features
• Define execution methodologies and project management practices to be followed within the program
• Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting at various levels of the organization including leadership and executives
• Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• 6+ years of technical professional experience in software development project management, leading cross functional initiatives, and/or large global projects (OR Master s degree with 5 years of experience)

Desired Characteristics

• Proven experience using project management methodologies to drive new product development programs and solutions in a regulated industry
• PMP, Agile, or related Project Management certifications
• Experience with design requirements, flow-down, verification validation, and traceability
• Awareness of software design principals, cybersecurity principals, cloud development, mobile application development, edge computing, and medical device interconnectivity technologies
• Expert in navigating through ambiguity, removing roadblocks, prioritizing conflicting requirements
• Understands Medical Device Software Design principles, requirements for meeting various country regulatory clearances, and demonstrates awareness of industry dynamics
• Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals
• Experience leading and working with global teams
• Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others
• Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization
