IBM Mainframe Hogan Developer - COBOL/JCL (5-7 yrs)

Position Summary :

WillWare Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM Mainframe Hogan Developer to join our team on a remote/contract basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Mainframe technologies and possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing Hogan applications, ensuring the stability and performance of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Hogan applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.

- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to Hogan applications.

- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.

- Document all development activities and maintain clear and concise technical documentation.

- Work collaboratively with other developers, analysts, and business users to ensure project success.

- Provide technical support to end-users as needed.

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Mainframe technologies.

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe technologies :

1. COBOL

2. JCL (Job Control Language)

3. CICS (Customer Information Control System)

4. DB2

5. VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method)

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
