Manager - Project Management

Job Summary: The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the project management team in planning, executing, and overseeing construction projects. This role involves coordinating resources, communication, documentation, and schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination:
• Support the project manager in organizing and coordinating all phases of construction projects, from planning through to completion.
• Maintain the project schedule and ensure that all tasks are completed on time.
• Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and invoices.
• Prepare and review progress reports for stakeholders and team members.
• Manage and track project-related documentation, including blueprints, permits, contracts, and safety records.
3. Communication:
• Act as a point of contact between internal teams (e.g., project managers, engineers, architects) and external vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and distribute meeting minutes.
• Address and resolve issues as they arise, ensuring proper communication with stakeholders.
4. Resource Management:
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and help maintain cost control.
• Ensure that required resources (labor, materials, etc.) are available and organized for the project team.
• Assist with scheduling subcontractors and ensuring compliance with project timelines.
5. Compliance and Quality Control:
• Ensure adherence to all local regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
• Monitor the quality of work being completed on-site, ensuring that it meets the project's specifications and industry standards.
• Help conduct site inspections and assist with identifying any potential issues or risks.
6. Problem-Solving:
• Identify potential delays or risks to the project timeline and work with the project team to mitigate them.
• Assist in resolving conflicts or challenges among stakeholders or team members to maintain progress.
7. Client Interaction:
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing them with regular updates on project status.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of project proposals and presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 8-12 years of experience in project coordination or management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
