Job Description Summary

Looking for an experienced SAP IS-Retail consultant with SAP MM having extensive knowledge of Retail process and Procure to Pay processes. The associate should have good knowledge on Retail business processes, Mercehandise distribution and Logistics , should have experience driving requirement workshops with business product leads and writing Functional Specifications independently.Must have experience in SAP implementation and support projects. Should have good analytical and communication skills. Demonstrating commitment towards collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

Industry and environmental factors (for example, market fluctuations, changes in regulatory policies or politics, emerging technology, cultural practices); Common business vernacular; Business practices across the industry and area-specific domains and related practices (for example, eCommerce, commerce platforms); Relevant business metrics, data models, analytics, and reports that assist in decision making.
To support the development of business cases and recommendations. Owns the delivery of project activity and tasks assigned by others. Supports process updates and changes. Solves business issues. Understands the relevant data and metrics that impact the business.
Technology Acumen:
Requires knowledge of:
Competitive technology landscapes; Existing enterprise systems, technologies, and architecture; Domain-specific scripting/compiling/programming languages; Product technical information and configurations; Software design methodologies; Domain-specific market standards in product/platform architecture; Common technologies and environments; Software quality assurance methodologies and tools, processes, and checkpoints.
To leverage knowledge of competitor products and industry packages (for example, SAP, Workday, Infor, Coupa) and services, as well as relative strengths and weaknesses. Assesses different programming tools, methodologies, frameworks, and the overarching systems architecture. Understands the programming languages, frameworks, and tools used across multiple products within an assigned domain to make informed discussions with engineering teams, prioritize efforts versus features, and assess the risks of certain features. Owns business and user acceptance testing of simple products/features.
In-Depth Domain Expertise:
Requires knowledge of:
Domain-specific methodologies, tools, and processes; Domain-specific products; Domain-specific best practices; Domain-specific market standards in product/platform architecture.
To demonstrate awareness of various principles, ways of working, and subdomain-specific terminologies. Compares the maturity of products, services, and processes within a subdomain with others in the industry. Identifies and reports gaps across subdomains for potential innovation opportunities. Demonstrates awareness of new processes and automation techniques used within a domain across industries.
Configuration Management:
Requires knowledge of:
Software architecture; Distributed systems; Scalability; Design patterns; Disaster recovery; Technology stacks; Minimum viable product (MVP); Nonfunctional requirements; Telemetry.
To identify the required processes, tools and baseline products for configuration, including software, models, plans, and documents for low-complexity projects. Configure new virtual machines to handle email, intranet, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and core business applications/applications running on the cloud. Supports the preparation of documentation under guidance.
Integration Management:
Requires knowledge of:
Configuration management tools and processes; Configuration and release management in environment(s).
To perform tests and checks on the connections between disparate application programs. Verifies the proper functioning of modules and applications across multiple or integrated platforms.
Testing:
Requires knowledge of:
Risk assessment and management techniques; Possible solutions for risks, threats, and vulnerabilities; Evolving security landscapes and emerging security threats; Assessment of potential business risks.
To map customer requirements to test objectives. Identifies and creates test cases for a component/module. Executes test cases to test code and detect errors and defects for an entire component. Executes different types of testing using appropriate testing tools based on testing needs.
Risk Management:
Requires knowledge of:
Types of middleware; Different types of platforms; Functions of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); Programming languages used for middleware; Principles and protocols for API-level integration; New and emerging middleware products, tools and methodologies in the industry.
To describe the key issues and benefits of risk management practices. Describes the potential consequences associated with specific examples of business risks. Utilizes organizational resources for risk avoidance and management. Identifies the major categories of business risks.
DevOps Orientation:
Requires knowledge of:
Test case preparation; Test objectives; Test strategy; Test types; Test tools (for example, Automation - Selenium, Agile - Jira, Mobile - Eggplant); Test environments; Root cause analysis.
To carry out routine maintenance of applications under guidance. Understands, tracks, and analyzes applicable application monitoring metrics (for example transaction times, system responses, transaction volume) under guidance. Assists in performing maintenance (corrective, adaptive, perfective) and re-engineering activities. Understands the concept of maintenance debt and the implications on allied areas.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Additional Job Description

What youll do:

Capability to understand Business requirement and mapping the same with SAP process.
Propose solution design, take responsibility to write FSDs, lead the custom objects/enhancements, perform unit testing and support business in UAT.
Good Communication skills along with ability to understand design/mapping of interfaces with non-SAP 3rd party applications and SAP Systems (IDOC).
Understand business issues and data challenges, support fit-gap analysis for projects/initiatives in the P2P stream.
Demonstrate skills in analysing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance.


What youll bring:

Must have 4-7 years of experience in SAP MM & IS Retail. Good to have SAP S4 HANA experience
Strong Knowledge in MM Pricing procedure, Inventory management, different Procurement types, Output determination along with retail master data, listing and merchandise distribution processes.
Configuration and working experience on Procure to Pay Process - Procurement, Logistics. Knowledge of Push and Pull methodologies.
Good understanding and working knowledge on Interfaces ( IDOCs and Proxy ) along with MM-SD and MM-FI integration knowledge.
Experience in large consolidation projects with distributed teams having hands on experience in one or more SAP end to end implementations.
Good team player and also should be able to handle things independently wherever it is required.
