Job Description
- Performs general accounting tasks and general ledger processing:
- Processing of vendor invoices and payments;
- Recording of employee accruals and payout;
- Preparation of journal vouchers for booking trade and non-trade payables;
- Preparation of journal vouchers for recording accruals, reversals, prepayments & amortizations, and cash advance liquidations on a daily and monthly basis;
- Maintenance of fixed assets lapsing schedule including recording of depreciation, asset impairment, etc.; and
- Monitoring of intercompany transactions.
- Assists the Finance and Accounting Manager in ensuring that all the transactions are recorded in the correct P&L and balance sheet accounts, business unit, locations, and client/projects codes.
- Assists in the validation of taxes imposed on purchases and services rendered;
- Assists in the preparation, filing and recording of corporate income taxes and other taxes;
- Prepares monthly Balance Sheet analyses for Finance and Accounting Manager’s review;
- Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual P&L variance analyses for Finance and Accounting Manager’s review;
- Prepares ad-hoc reports as needed by top management; and
- Assists in providing schedules and retrieving documents needed during audit periods.
