Role Overview

The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud native application architectures with a focus on API first development microservices and security best practices This role requires expertise in cloud platforms AWS Azure GCP API gateway implementations and integration with legacy and SaaS based insurance systems

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen in insurance broking risk assessment and claims processing to drive digital transformation and ensure compliance with IRDAI SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture and Application Design

- Design scalable cloud native enterprise applications using microservices Kubernetes and API gateways

- Define best practices for enterprise architecture frameworks TOGAF Zachman ArchiMate to ensure standardization

- Establish design patterns for distributed computing ensuring high availability fault tolerance and performance optimization

- Develop API driven architectures for seamless integration with third party services legacy systems and cloud SaaS platforms

API and Microservices Strategy

- Design RESTful APIs GraphQL and gRPC services to enhance interoperability and reduce latency

- Implement API gateways Apigee Kong AWS API Gateway Azure API Management for traffic management authentication and security

- Develop best practices for service discovery circuit breaking and resilience patterns in a microservices ecosystem

- Enforce API governance versioning strategies and documentation using OpenAPI Swagger

Cloud and Security Architecture

- Lead cloud migration initiatives selecting the right cloud model On Prem AWS Azure GCP for performance and cost optimization

- Implement Zero Trust Security IAM Identity and Access Management API security OAuth2 JWT mTLS and DevSecOps best practices

- Ensure compliance with IRDAI SOC 2 ISO 27001 and industry standards for data encryption security auditing and policy enforcement

Integration and Digital Transformation

- Define strategies for legacy modernization integrating in house insurance platforms SaaS applications and RPA Robotic Process Automation

- Lead cloud native transformation for claims processing underwriting and policy management platforms

- Drive DevOps and Agile adoption across development teams

- Ensure seamless omnichannel experience Web Mobile Chatbots for customer engagement

Stakeholder and Leadership Responsibilities

- Collaborate with C suite executives product teams and engineering teams to align technology with business goals

- Mentor engineering teams on modern application architectures API design and cloud best practices

- Lead cross functional teams ensuring project delivery within deadlines and budgets

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system scalability performance and security
