Purchase Executive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to join our team in the luggage industry. The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods used in the production of luggage. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient supply of materials to meet production requirements while maintaining cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

Identify and source quality suppliers for materials such as fabric, zippers, handles, locks, wheels, and other luggage components.

Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, timely delivery, and quality standards.

Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the production team to ensure material availability.

Vendor Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and evaluate new ones to ensure high-quality products at competitive prices.

Regularly assess supplier performance, manage any issues regarding quality, delivery, or cost, and take corrective actions when needed.

Order Processing:

Place orders with suppliers based on production schedules and stock levels.

Ensure timely order fulfillment by following up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve any delays.

Cost Control:

Review and manage procurement budgets to optimize costs and contribute to overall cost reduction strategies.

Assist in implementing cost-effective purchasing strategies.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of orders, supplier communications, and material receipts.

Generate procurement reports and monitor budget adherence, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the production, design, and quality control teams to ensure the timely supply of materials that meet the quality specifications.

Assist in forecasting material requirements and ensuring that procurement aligns with production schedules.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Ensure that all materials and suppliers comply with company standards, industry regulations, and quality requirements.

Conduct periodic audits and inspections of inventory to ensure quality and compliance.
