Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Account Assistant to support our accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations according to accounting principles and internal department controls.
• Handle petty cash transactions, manage reimbursements, and oversee cash sales operations in Thilafushi.
• Create sales orders using ERP systems for customers, including café and fuel operations, and supervise café cashiers and junior staff.
• Prepare daily and monthly fuel delivery summaries, update fuel and inventory records in Excel, and maintain Fuel Delivery Details” and “Fuel Stock Balance” sheets.
• Assist with month-end and year-end inventory counts, participate in audits, and contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain proper filing systems for accounting documentation, including scanning, recording, and uploading reports to shared folders.
• Provide administrative support to senior accountants, assist in resolving discrepancies, and handle accounts-related duties as directed by management

Qualifications:

• Education: bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems, accounting software, and Excel.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial transactions and reporting.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for customer interactions and team support.
