Safety Engineer - Job Location Ghodbunder Road, Thane

Vihang Group is looking for a dedicated Safety Engineer with expertise in high-rise construction to ensure a safe and hazard-free working environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting safety awareness across all levels of the construction team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage the Safety Management Plan for high-rise construction projects, ensuring all work adheres to regulatory safety standards.
• Perform regular safety audits, site inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure safety compliance.
• Lead and facilitate safety training sessions for all site workers, ensuring awareness of safety practices, procedures, and equipment.
• Investigate accidents, near-miss incidents, and unsafe conditions, producing detailed reports and action plans for corrective measures.
• Ensure that all safety equipment, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and signage are available, maintained, and utilized correctly on-site.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop site-specific safety plans for each phase of the project.
• Monitor the implementation of safety measures and provide guidance and support to mitigate risks.
• Conduct emergency drills and ensure workers are well-versed in emergency protocols.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes of practice, and construction safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of safety activities, incidents, inspections, and compliance reports.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Safety Management.
• Experience: 5-8 years of experience in safety management, particularly in high-rise construction or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of high-rise construction safety standards, risk assessments, and hazard analysis.
• Ability to recognize unsafe work practices and implement corrective actions.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft detailed reports and safety documentation.
• Proficient in safety management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
